Liz de Rome


Liz de Rome is Principal Consultant and Managing Director of LdeR Consulting. Liz is a skilled communications consultant, facilitator and researcher with over 20 years experience in the design of organisational change and education programs. She has an established track record for bringing together people with a range of different views to identify creative solutions for shared problems. Her particular interest is in programs which change or challenge peoples' attitudes and behaviour in relation to social issues.

Liz has an academic background and worked at the Tertiary Education Research Centre, University of NSW for five years. She subsequently held a number of senior positions in the State and Federal public services including: Manager of Trainer Training for the NSW Public Service Board; Manager, Communications and Public Relations, NSW Public Service Board; Manager, National Adult Literacy Program at TAFE NSW and finally National Manager, Community Relations, Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission. Liz established her company, Liz de Rome and Associates in 1993.

Her innovative work has been recognised by a number of awards including a Churchill Fellowship, International Literacy Year Award and a National Training Film Award. Liz is visiting lecturer for the Master of Organisational Behaviour, Macquarie University.

Liz has a Masters degree in Educational Administration and the Mass Media, an Honours degree in Psychology and a Diploma of Education. She is an Associate Fellow of the Australian College of Road Safety.
